Bessó means “fruit of the almond tree” in Catalan, the language locally spoken in Majorca. And we have chosen this word as the name of our artisan sugar-dusted almonds. In the island, almonds are sustainably grown by local farmers and then harvested at the end of the summer using traditional methods. These sugar-dusted almonds are sealed with a personal touch of a hint of cinnamon, chocolate, lemon, orange or apricot and a pinch of local sea salt. They are bursting with flavor and nutition and make a perfect aperitif, delicious with cheese, fresh fruit or other dessert, with a glass of wine, or an energy packed snack at any time of day. A tin of Bessó, also comes with the essence of Majorca; its culture and tradition, its landscape – a profusion of almond trees in full bloom in the winter and laden with fruit in the summer. Ultimately it contains the essence of the sun-kissed island of Majorca.
